Vehicle Mechanic

Water sector agencies maintain large fleets of vehicles, including cars, lawnmowers, forklifts, back hoes, and more. All these vehicles must be maintained and repaired. The vehicle mechanic:

  • performs regular maintenance on the entire vehicle fleet, including engine tune ups and oil changes;
  • repairs vehicles when needed;
  • makes specialized equipment for vehicles;
  • orders parts, tires, and fluids necessary to keep the fleet running;
  • checks vehicles for safety and drivability after accidents.
