Administrative Analyst

Executives in water and wastewater agencies make many important decisions about issues that concern large populations. These issues include the rates charged to consumers for water, water supply planning, the impact of legislation on their business, and changes in water chemistry that might affect the public’s health. Administrative analysts analyze these issues from many different angles before making a recommendation. Administrative analysts:

  • gather and evaluate information about the many sides of a complex problem;
  • review, analyze, and suggest improvements that can make systems and procedures more efficient and effective; and 
  • prepare reports and procedure manuals to explain issues and solutions to others.
